Since the foundation of the International Neuroscience Institute – Hannover GmbH Prof. Harms performs surgeries in the field of specific spine surgery for deformities. As from the 1st of August 2024 Prof. Dr. Jürgen Harms will exclusively operate at our institute. With his expirience and expertise, Prof. Dr. Harms is one of the most renowned international surgeons in the field of spine surgery.
He developed surgical techniques in the scoliosis- and tumor-surgery, which are considered as groundbreaking in the treatment of diseases of the spinal cord. Especially his „Harms-Titan-Cage“ and „polyaxial-screws“ are an absolut benchmark in spine surgeries. Prof. Dr. Jürgen Harms continuesly working on new surgical techniques to improve the field of spine surgery. Even new materials and instruments for spine- and hip surgery are in his field of research. His career and professional achievements made him to an honored member of the Scoliosis Research Society, the most notable international spine socitiy.
