About the Department
The Department of Neurosurgery at INI Hannover represents the institute’s clinical and scientific core and is internationally recognized for its excellence in complex surgery of the central and peripheral nervous system. Our expertise encompasses high-grade glioma surgery, skull base tumors, cerebrovascular diseases, functional neurosurgery, advanced spinal surgery, and peripheral nerve reconstruction. We manage some of the most demanding neurosurgical conditions using state-of-the-art microsurgical techniques, intraoperative imaging, neuronavigation, and continuous neurophysiological monitoring to achieve maximal precision and safety. Complexity is not a specialization at INI — it is our standard. Through close interdisciplinary collaboration with Neurology, ENT, Neuroradiology, and Anesthesiology, we develop integrated treatment strategies for highly challenging cases, delivering world-class surgical care tailored to each individual patient.
