Description

The Cavernous Malformation & Vascular Research Program investigates cerebral and spinal vascular malformations, with a particular focus on cerebral cavernous malformations.

Clinical neurosurgery, vascular neuroscience, molecular research, genetics and advanced imaging are integrated to improve our understanding of the development, progression and hemorrhagic mechanisms of vascular lesions.

The objective is to improve individualized risk assessment and to advance strategies for observation, surgical indication, microsurgical treatment and long-term follow-up.
