• Specific Ward Rules Please be aware that specialized units like the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Intermediate Care (IMC) may have additional guidelines regarding the number of visitors allowed at one time or other specific procedures. Please check with the nursing staff on the ward before entering or inquire in advance.
• Hygiene is Key Please use the provided hand sanitizer dispensers upon entering and leaving the hospital and patient rooms. Follow any current hygiene regulations posted within the clinic (this may include mask requirements in certain areas or situations).
• Consideration for Patients Help us maintain a quiet and restful atmosphere for all patients. We kindly ask you to limit the number of visitors per patient at any one time.
• Feeling Unwell?  If you have a cold, fever, cough, or any symptoms of an infectious illness, please postpone your visit to help protect our patients.

Baroque Elegance and Blooming Beauty

The Royal Gardens of Herrenhausen (Herrenhäuser Gärten)

Considered one of Europe's most beautiful baroque parks, this is a must-see. Stroll through the meticulously designed Great Garden (Großer Garten) with its stunning fountains and sculptures, or explore the botanical wonders of the Berggarten. It is a perfect place for a peaceful and restorative walk.

The New Town Hall

At first glance, many visitors to Hannover think it is a palace, but it is actually the Neues Rathaus (New Town Hall). Today, the glorious building, which was erected in 1913 and dates back to the era of Wilhelm II, is one of the landmarks of this metropolis on the Leine river. The town hall is not just a landmark, it is also one of the city’s most photographed buildings.

Old Town

The old town of Hannover extended from Steintor to Aegidientorplatz and is today only recognizable by its elliptical shape. The old main streets like Osterstraße, Schmiedestraße, Knochenhauerstraße, Burgstraße, Leinestraße and others are linked by numerous lanes and join again at the old gates as was common in German merchants' settlements in the Middle Ages.

The Maschsee Lake offers the people of Hannover a recreational area in the heart of the city, both on the water and all around it: for yachting, canoeing and pedal-boating, for joggers, skaters and strollers. On the banks of the lake you will find the celebrated Sprengel Museum Hannover.
